Auto submission programs usually submit to the wrong categories and contain non quality web directories which will harm your web site is the long term.
Submitting manually or automatically in a short time will harm your web site as well, search engines mainly google will notice that and may consider it as a spam.
You have to submit manually or use semi auto programs which help you auto fill the fields when submitting to directorie.
Don't submit too fast use and different anchor titles and descriptions when submitting, keep your submission constant, but not too fast neither too slow.
