Well, I took the plunge and installed the beta of Chrome V2.0.156.1.
Some features so far:
- New version of WebKit. (version 528.8 or, more precisely, revision 39410)
- Autofill form completion. (Thank you!)
- Spell checking improvements
- Page Zoom. Now adjusts pics along with text. (pretty slick!)
- Individual User Profiles.
- AutoScroll
- Experimental user script support (similar to Greasemonkey).
- New SafeBrowsing implementation.
- Various code optimizations.
A few other problems with V1 have been addressed such as incomplete page loading (mainly due to 3rd party site ads).
The developer console is still a bit lacking. The ability to edit elements on-the-fly (like FireFox's Firebug) would definitely push me to using Chrome full time. Hopefully we'll see this either built in or as an optional addon by the final release.
