I also ran into this problem, although I was not planning on selling my ebooks on Ebay. I have someone that puts a Pay Pal button and does the download work.
There are several sites that will handle all of this for you, like Payloadz. Then for someone that does not want to go through the trouble of building a site for one ebook there is LuLu.
