There are a number of colour scheme programs/websites available on the net. You can pick one colour and the program will give you suggested coordinating colours. Other sites will have some premade colour schemes shown.

A couple to get you started:

ColorSchemer

When using the colour scheme selected, make sure that the colour contrast is enough between the background and foreground colours so they are readable.

The Color Matters website is very good for understanding the use of colour.
