These days I'm finding that if I design my site to work on Firefox, it also works on IE 7 and 8 without modification. IE6 is always a problem but hopefully that will be dead soon.
It's funny though, because now I find that my sites don't work by default in Safari and Chrome. Their javascript engines are slow as hell when it comes to doing the kinds of effects that I love to do. In the old days you'd be writing javascript hacks to work around the stupid limitations of IE, these days I more often find myself writing Javascript hacks for Safari and Chrome, very annoying!
