its a hard issue if you do not have contact with the merchant. I being a merchant know that we are here for the customers 5 days a week 8-6pm.

copenhagan said it best. lawsuits are expensive. and silly if you ask me.

If it is a shipping problem. you may have to pay a reshipping fee because shipping ain't free... when a merchant sells an item it still costs them money to ship. and to receive it back is just as bad if not worse.

Have it sent somewhere where you know there will be a person during normal business hours. or wait for DHL when they give you a tracking number. Or leave a note for the UPS guy.

If you still have problems with getting your money back and you've exhausted your means of communication dispute the charges... but do not do this lightly... last resort only. it costs $20 for the merchant. and he may choose to take it out of your refund when the CC company decides to reverse it in the merchants favor. (I used to work for the the largest CC company out there i know)
