Its simple!
Search engines track IP addresses to rank websites for different regions. So for example, if your web server is in Spain it assumes it to be a Spanish serving site. A clear example is, go to google.fr or .de and type "microsoft". What do you get? a country language specific microsoft site. Thats the game of IPs.
And since your website is by all means Spanish or for Spanish audience, you have absolutely excellent chances of ranking better in Spanish results than the global ones.
