IE7/YouTube problem

A friend of mine just started having problems viewing YouTube videos with IE7. (She's recently installed several programs which I suspect may have changed her system settings.)

Whenever she clicks on a video to view it, an error message appears indicating that Javascript is disabled or the Shockwave player is out of date. She has already performed the Shockwave update but I haven't been able to find a setting for her to enable/disable Javascript. (I use IE so seldom that I'm very unfamiliar with it.)

Can anyone tell me where to look for the Javascript enable/disable setting in IE7?

Thanks, Bob
