Well according to my experience, placing a keyword or two with your domain does reflect in SEO. A domain such as www(.)yourbusiness-keyword(.)com gives more weight than www(.)fancylinehere-yourbusiness(.)com -- It's part of OnPage optimization -- choosing the right name for your domain, that's why a lot of webmasters use mod_rewrite for their inner pages, to make them search engine friendly.
