I didn't realize there was a comment on this thread, I must have missed the email notification for that. Sorry for the wait. I've owned GeekBoards since 2006 and have never offered free hosting in return for posts. The original owner might have, though. When I acquired the site there were approx 1000 posts and fewer than 50 members, so that might give you a bit of an idea about how much came from all that.
On another note, I was actually stopping by here to close out this thread. I've decided to continue publishing GeekBoards for now, so am no longer actively promoting a sale of this website.
