The importance of <title> for SEO
I believe the The Title (title tag) is one of the most significant factors of SEO.
Ex: I had a lady email me, she had this real nice Flash Website, it was 2 years old, and no where to be found in the SE's. The dopey web designer had the name of her Interior Decorating company in the Title, that's it. I told her to put Keyphrases in the Title i.e. Barrington Interior Decorating, Crystal Lake Interior Decorating.. 2 weeks later, it showed up in Google. Granted the SERPS were low, but it DID SHOW UP. And considering the SE's could not read the Flash Content, it just showed the power of the Title. Bueno !
