I personally think you should build your own. I've bought a few off the shelf scripts for many of my clients in the past due to budgets and timeline restrictions and in almost every case I've had to customize the scripts to fit their needs. At times it would have been less expensive if we had just build the scripts ourselves.
These types of scripts should be used for those who don't have the knowledge or have the time to go through this process. Don't get me wrong there are many good applications out there but no one can write a program/script that will fit everyone's needs 100%.
