I get so sick of that argument. Individual rights end when it effects others. You can get drunk, run around naked, or whatever you like in your own house. Once you go outside it's effecting others and becomes illegal.
Women do have the right to do whatever they want with their bodies. Get it pieced, get it tattooed, chop your own arms and legs off and gouge your eyes out if you like. All that pro-lifers are saying is you can't inflict death on another person because it would be inconvenient for you if they lived.
It's NOT YOUR BODY being killed in an abortion, it's someone elses.
A womans choice with her own body can begin with choosing not to have sex or using proper precautions against pregnancy. Instead of an abortion surgery have your tubes tied. That was it's "your body" alone.
Yes I realize there are instances where rape and such causes a woman to be pregnant when she didn't choose it. That's a terrible thing, but killing the child who also had no choice is a poor solution.
