Feeding them table food may turn them away from eating there regular cat food. (That's what i thought when i had 2 cats)

I have the weirdest cats in the world, with the exception of a tuna treat occasionally, they won't touch human food.
Both eat paper now and then though. The kid has had to tell the teacher more than once that the cat ate her homework.
