I discovered something very, very odd today; apparently my Facebook Profile URL is not a valid URL.
I was putting together all the social stuff for my blog (email contacts, social networks I currently exist on, and subscriptions methods). I went and installed this plugin for WordPress, the
Broken Link Checker. After that, I naturally bee-lined straight to the tool to see what it could do. To my surprise, I had two broken links already. You can imagine how wide my eyes got since I've only got a grand total of 13 pages, and I've been quintuple checking everything.
Well, one of them was my Facebook profile link. So I went ahead and clicked it, and it brought up my Facebook page.
Now I was confused. I was ready to hit the "Not Broken" button, but thought of something: maybe me being logged in has something to do with it?
As I went ahead and logged out, proceeded to go to the login page, started typing my information, I'm thinking "No, because the privacy options are set to "Everyone", so there can't be any-"

Sometimes I REALLY hate the internet.
I have no idea how to fix this, too. My link has always been that, never changed or anything, and I'm just... stumped. Yes, I'm a social media specialist, but I can't imagine why the URL given to me by FACEBOOK itself wouldn't work when my permissions are completely open to EVERYONE.
So now I'm also wondering how long it has been this way; how many people have clicked that link and thought I was a dumb@$$ because I can't create proper links?
Woe is me.
Anybody know anything about this?
EDIT: oh, here's my link:
www.facebook.com/Raoucus. You can also friend me if you figure out how to bypass this insanity. I don't mind
