Hello Deepsand,
I believe your statement to be inaccurate. The toolbar offered by Alexa is for getting measurement details that are above the foundational measurement that Alexa performs across all sites, by default. I believe their toolbar is more like Google Analytics. You do not need to use the toolbar for Alexa to rank you. Our site does not use it, as is the case with most sites ranked by Alexa.
My Best,
Frank

But I think it depends on the niche. More technical niche you have the more chances of your visitors coming to your site with an alexa toolbar installed on their browsers.
Thanks.

Hi Lawrencia,
Thanks for the information. I think getting down into the 100K range is a tremendous achievement. Congratulations!
How long did it take you to get to that point?
My Best,
