I have to disagree with this statment. Being a web hosting company and supplying domains, I keep both seperate. This way if a customer gets hosting or not, or even leaves we don't have a problem. Customers come and go, some companies try dirty tricks to make them stay, but I still believe most run good companies and have the morals not to.
