I have to agree with Pingpipe. Customers want a Control Panel that they are familiar with, so that they can get their sites up and functioning quickly and effectively. The easier it is for a customer to control their sites, the happier and more productive they are. cPanel offers support, in most cases for free. With a custom Control Panel, you would have to rely on only a few people to fix any issues you might encounter.
