webcentive, what you want sounds an awful lot like you want to remotly mirror/cluster/load balance your website so that if either host goes down the other host instatly (or very close to that) gets all the traffic sent its way. While this is possible with two servers that are physicaly close to eachother im not sure how easy it will be to implment on a shared hosting enviorment where the servers are in physical different locations and you dont have full control over the server.

About the onlyway I can think of having the same domain on two servers would be to use subdomains but thats technicly not the same domain.
