From what I've been reading, cable and ADSL are about the same, though one can be faster than the other depending on your particular circumstances. I have recently switched to WI-FI (wireless broadband) and find it a bit faster than the ADSL that I used to have. My actual download speed is usually around 1MB/9 seconds.
