as the title and
"An Ohio negro"
as the beginning of the story, that sets a bad tone right away. That tone dominates the entire conversation. You may have many races represent, but can you speak for them all? It doesn't mean that the members of each race are behind the decision to air it like this. It means that they are not fighting it.
I bet you if I asked someone African American on your team, and the person trusted my confidence, the answer on "Does this offend you?" would be a lot different than the answer given to the same question within a staff meeting.
