Please don't take this the wrong way, but I am guessing you haven't optimised a site before, also, you need to explain a few things to your customer.

For what search term?

You can easily achieve a front page on Google if you so wish but it depends what phrases you are trying to do this with.

I take it you already have a list of phrases that you have researched and would like to be found with.

Tip#1: Get plenty of backlinks to the site using the correct keywords and don't just get them from anywhere, select who you ask to link to you. This also includes listing it in the major directories, including paid for.
