I'll just put one more vote in for more visitors. PPC (pay per click) via Google adwords (as mentioned) or yahoo's Overture is an easy and quick start. I used PPC as an initial injection for targeted traffic while learning and practicing SEO.

OK, I want to comment on my own quote. yahoo's Overture actually has shown me very poor results compared to Google's Adwords. So if you had a small budget for PPC I'd focus it all on Google.
