Question Does Google boost page's importance when they link to Google?

When I type "link:www.preciousbedding.com" into Google, only three pages come up that link to my site.

I know Google doesn't show them all, but I read somewhere that they usually show the backlinks they consider most important.

I have several backlinks from other PR5 sites and even a PR7 that don't show up in the link: results. I noticed that one of the three linking pages that shows up is a thread on this forum where I posted and my signature has a link to my page underneath of the post. Right above my link is a link to Google.

I have several thousand backlinks that show up on search engines, but only these three show up for Google. I couldn't help but notice that one of the three was from a page where a link to my site was so close to Google's link.

Does anyone have any experience with anything like this?

Does anyone have any comments?

Does anyone think Google favors itself in certain situations?

My reasoning for wanting to know is because maybe I'll begin placing links to Google right next to my links when I place backlinks.
