I've seen some stuff about integrating mambo and phpbb, mambo and oscommerce, phpnuke and etc.... and so on and so forth.

My goal would be to simplify the process of getting new content and photo galleries to the site. Make one user list so that when someone registered for the forums they would be in the store too.

Basically try to wrap all these applications into one database and one application.

Has anyone done something similar to this?
What might be the best CMS to go with to try and do this?
Would it be better to use any sort of different forum or commerce software?

I have lots of questions buzzing around in my head at the moment and if anyone could help me figure out if this is feasible and how I might go about it I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,
Rush
i recommend joomla + SMFforum + virtuemart
when connected, the user can use the same profile for the ecommerce part and with the forum, he can post articles and content too
i used, the website works well (though it is not as fast as i hoped, but i am with a shared hosting plan...)
