Lynn, thanks for these great tips especially the tag one. You're right, linking out is ultimately beneficial for yourself and the quality of the blogosphere as a whole. If your content is not quality, people will leave regardless - linking out or not!
I'm glad blogger is taking more action on the splogs, especially those generated by something like voodooblogger.
