I've never been detained or arrested...hell....I've never gotten a speeding ticket. But I have been cuffed.
First let me say, my parents have the same sick sense of humor that I do. They live in Florida and they frequently have guests coming to visit. So, they assembled a "hospitality basket" full of all kinds of stuff for their overnight guests. They had shampoo and toothpaste....magazines and candies....ohh...and HANDCUFFS!
So, when my husband and I went to stay with them, we were looking through the basket, and we noticed said cuffs. Ignoring the icky notion that God knows how many other people had worn these cuffs, I slipped one side on, and locked it.....assuming the key was in the basket.
....it WASN'T!
So.....after searching through the basket repeatedly, we gave up and went to my parents for help. Of course, they thought we had been "using" the cuffs.....and I was completely mortified. Turns out, the key was in the basket after all; it was just lodged deeply within the weave of the basket.
Taa daaa!
