I used to use AVG exclusivly.
It would let the occasional virus thru.
The last straw was when it let a Christmas Virus in and destroyed a HD.
This was about the same time Sygate was sold to Symantic and was no longer supported.
I did alot of research to find replacement Firewall and Virus programs.
I finally decided on Panda Platinum 2006.
This was an all in one type program, Firewall, Virus, Email, etc.
They had a 30 day trial period for it.
I was very impressed with this software and decided to pay for it.
All the features have performed flawlessly ever since.
I have'nt had any conflicts with other programs.
It does have a fairly large footprint, but it does alot of duties.
The memory usage isnt that bad.
It is VERY sensitive on Virus detection.
I guess my only con with it is,
that it takes quite awhile for boot up and shut down.
There support is terrific.
IMO, It's worth the money.
