What do you know most about? ...your hobbies...

A friend of mine enjoys skateboarding. he started a site that just shares interesting information about skateboarding. He even puts some video clips on the site. it ranks fairly well and draws enough traffic so that he makes a decent profit with adsense.

If you want to make enough money to be worthwhile, it may be good to have a few sites, each about something different. Turn each site into a profit center.

The average Subway Sandwich Ship provides it's owner with between $20k - $50k a year income; not enough to support a family. Thus most people who invest in SubWay franchise have 3 or 4 of them. And, usually other income sources as well.

Creating profit center oriented Web sites many times require the same approach. A few different sites to generate income. This is also good when a site drops out of site. You are not losing all of your income, just a portion of it.

Find something that you want to sell, or a subject that you love and can provide information that is beneficial to others... And stimulate your dreams of avarice...
