I think the concept is a great idea, and providing you can drive traffic to the blog and provide quality articles, then the only winner is the blogger.
The first question that came into my mind was - what do you get out of it?
I get tons of travel articles every day, and to be honest only 5% of them are published, because many of them are too promotional or don't provide the reader with useful (unique) content.
