I was on dialup for years. I swear, more and more webmasters are treating Dial-up users like they're still on FidoNet or something... s'bullpats. Load time is a huge complaint that I hear a lot from dial-up users. And it's something I specifically address when designing and dev'ing. Y'know, I've thought, what about a pre-load script that tests your download speed off of an 8-16k dummyfile and then uses that speed test to spit you out to the appropriate page?

IF speed > 56k THEN goto "highspeedindex.thisissooototallynotaphpfile"
