I had a plain arrow made from the selection of arrows in the photoshop custom shape tool... I rotated it to an angle.

I copied a section of it and pasted it onto a new layer. did this a couple of times to get the angled parts of the arrow body, I drew in the straignt/level parts.

put a stroke around it, and pressed alt+ up arrow, left arrow, alt+ up arrow, left arrow, etc. until I had the depth I wanted.

Added a new stroke and a drop shadow...
