I've just placed an add with Yellow Pages here in the UK. Its cost me £120 for a larger than standard ad (forget exact dimensions) which I thought was good value but there are some good points and some bad points.
Good Points- lots of people use yellow pages and everybody gets one
- offline advertising is often more affective
- yellow pages now allow ads thats don't contain address and telephone number so you can just have url and description
Bad Points
- Ad will only be seen in my local area
- lots of competition from larger ads
I'm interested to here what you all think about this type of advertising and whether you think it will provide good numbers of visitors. Has anybody else tried this?
