For full functionality, you're best to host a blog yourself, and it's best to use
Wordpress.
Typepad and
Blogger will host your blog for you, and you can point your DNS to your blog with them, I believe.
As for topics. Sex, it sells. Sexy girls. Or pie? Just make it interesting.
