Automatic tasks

At work we have three machines (maybe soon to be five) that sit there doing very little. We occasionally turn to them because they have a particular software product installed, or because we have too many windows open on our own, usual machines. We could sell them but they would fetch very little. They are all networked together and share one broadband connection, so I was wondering if we could set them any automatic tasks online that might be useful to us. I've seen things like the auto-submit tools out there but am aware that they don't do much good (in fact, they can harm) in SEO terms. Are there any beneficial tasks that you can think of that we could have them working away at whilst we go about our normal normal day?

Thanks

Aaron
