Superuser.net - Ouch
I searched the endless fog of web hosts and after careful consideration of my needs and budget, I settled on a bargain hosting company. BIG mistake. There is no support at the host I chose - Superuser.net. Zero. None. Nadda. I have tried since November to contact tech support. Zero returned emails and zero returned phone calls.
Fortunately I don't need much support. Except of course when something goes wrong with my host. Like mailing lists. That's my latest debacle. cPanel mailing list setup will not work and I have tried nonstop for a week to get a response from superuser.net.
Now I wish I had spent that extra $5/mo for support. But then Superuser.net advertised 24/7 support. Now I'm gun-shy and have no idea who to trust. I need a new domain and am about to start the whole host search thing all over. My needs are modest. 500mb or so, 10-15GB, 5 or so mySQL databases, PHP, pop mail, mailing lists, subdomains, the typical php/mysql host. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
