Not really...especially for free. Zen cart as mentioned is great but as stated..it's just OSC on steroids. I had my own version I was going to release as SuperOSC (registered the .com even) but got bored of it. It's a pretty bloated version I ran with just about every damn contrib possible.
If today I needed a commerce site..I would use OSC without hesitation. I am not gonna pay for software that actually isn't better.
