ARIN Board of Trustees Candidate

Hello all. I assume this fits under the guess of "Internet" related.

For those of you that know me, I would like to think that you respect my input and tenure in the WISP industry, as well as the ISP and Internet related industry as well. For those that do not know me, I've been a WISP/ISP for 10 years now, and over that time have seen my share of ups and downs. I have tried to help where I could and have received a lot of help as well.

LIke all people who gain a bit of success, I have decided it is time to give back a bit to our community. As such several months ago at the urging of colleges in the ISP industry I decided to run for the Board of Trustees with ARIN (The American Registry for Internet Numbers). I am among 5 nominees for 2 open seats to this position on ARIN's board. For those that do not know what ARIN is, we are the place that doles out IP addresses and manages all Internet Numbers in America.

If you would like to provide input in support of my candidacy you can do so by providing a brief statement of support at the following link:

For a complete list of candidates to ARIN's Board of Trustees visit the following link: http://app.arin.net/election/questionnaire/?elec_id=1

As a member of the Board of Trustees I along with 6 other members have the ultimate responsibility for the business affairs and financial health of ARIN, as well as managing ARIN's operations in a manner consistent with the guidance received from the Advisory Council and the goals set by the registry's members. The Board is also responsible for determining the disposition of all revenues received to ensure that all services are provided in an equitable manner.

The Board votes on proposals generated from the membership and submitted through the Advisory Council. Executive decisions are carried out following approval by the Board.

I thank you all in advance for the help and support over the last 10 years, and hope you will support me in my endeavors moving forward to help better the internet community and ARIN as one of their Board members.

Those of you that are ARIN members, I would urge you to vote. Only ARIN members can vote for candidates, however anyone can show support by going to: http://app.arin.net/election/sos/?elec_id=1

Again, thank you!
