At the moment I'm running SMF because as a result of not having any members yet, I don't want to risk by vBulletin or IPB if my site ends up failing.
But then again, if it's a success, I'm pretty much stuck with SMF. I have heard about conversion software you get with the paid forum software. Has anyone tried this? Does it produce a lot of errors?
So do you think I can run a successful forum on SMF, or should I upgrade beforehand.
