I am building a web directory of service businesses (i.e. Roofing, flooring, etc.)
My question is this... Is the company information public info? For example if i wanted to list john doe flooring would i need their permission or would i need them to submit to my directory before i can list them. Also are there any public databases available for use that are free to use. I am concerned with copyright infringement and i want to be clear on this issue before i move forward.
