Despite my wishful thinking about getting listed by magic, I'm getting slaughtered on Inktomi. Currently, if Google dies I die with them
I've gotta do something about this and spread my risk.
Can someone clarify the Pay For Inclusion option at Inktomi? For around $40 I can submit one URL and the recommendation seems to be to submit more pages from the same domain if I can afford it.
What sort of spidering/listing do you get for one URL? If I submit my home page, does this mean that only that specific index page gets listed and the 1000 other pages in the site stay just as invisible as they are now? Or will the rest of the site get some benefit?
For me, listing my home page on its own would be useless. I rely on each individual page perform on its own. Clearly I'm not about to fork out this sort of money for every single page. What's the story?
