No, probably not. What version of windows are you running Atom? Looks like from your right-click menu that it is 98, ME, or 2000? I'm running XP. I have a feeling it may be you are on an older OS.
This comes from the fact that the thumbnail is stored in the same file but as separate data. It is possible to manipulate it but wow, what a headache just to get something like this. You'll find posts in some of the digital photography forums with people with corrupted images but the thumbnail looks perfect. FYI
