I would say there's a buffer though. If the site makes $10 / month but is very well developed then you could probably make like $150-200. But that's the problem... there are a lot of buyers in the $100-500 site price range.

If the site is making $50/month, then you may have a tough time getting more than $500. At some point webmasters stop paying for development and only pay for the monthly revenue.
