You could spend hours trying to find a way around your mistake but the bottom line is your boss wants it, so you should just do it.

Havind said that, most companies do the following. The add the trademark to the first title and the first time it appears on a page. After that it's not necessary. However, it is a personal preference and other companies put it everytime the trademark name is mentioned. Putting the disclaimer at the bottom is just to explain what the trademark is. It's not meant to replace it.
