I just bought a Archos 504 digital video player. I need to rip my dvd's and am looking for opinions on what software to get.

I've tried the free version of Xilsoft and it works nice. Costs $35.

Also, does anyone know a good place to buy movies and tv shows that are in .avi or .wav format? I've found a couple places but they are expensive.
