The architecture. 32-Bit can only address 4GB of RAM, while 64-Bit it's more like 1TB or more. It gets pretty complicated but think like this. We're not thinking 1bitx32 we're talking 1bit^32 so 1bit^64 can address MUCH larger information thus raising speed, productivity, etc etc.
