I wouldn't normally suggest this, but I'm interested in the idea ...

Keep in mind that the standards essentially do the following:

1) Ensure that everybody who makes browsers has a crack at displaying their interpretation of the code as the author intended, and

2) Establishes a recognizable series of patterns for everyone who is interested to follow.

Examine the existing templates. Follow their lead ...
