I know, but, at some point you are going to have to recognize that you may not be getting the love you think you deserve because there are so many blogs about the same thing.
Most of the blogs about what you are blogging about are the same.
You cannot continue to get recognized by the spiders as having original content, when it is not.
The massive amount of bloggers writing the same subject is just canceling each other out.

Yes there are many duplicate sites on the web, but there are literally thousands upon thousands of websites and blogs that are posting the same content because they are feeding from each other for information. Other industry sites have a variety of subject matter to write about, and the odds of massive duplicate content are quite high, but in the field of SEO, it is the same content.

Have you ever read another SEO blog. Take 5 and read 5 posts from each. You will see the exact same things repeated, over and over again.

And when there is a new development, everybody posts it at the same time, mainly from the same source.
Without having developed a new mathematical algorithm, there is no original content in this field.
I am just saying that your problem that you and so many others keep posting about is not the amount of text, it's the frequency of the repetitive of the words all over the web.

I am surprised that so many SEO people have never figured this out.

Honestly, how many SEO, Web Development, Adsense blogs are there on the web?
Hundreds of thousands! At some point the constant repetition of the same algorithm, over and over again, has to lose its effectiveness.

I could be wrong. JMO.
I think your amount of content is fine, and not your problem.
