That is a good idea. I never thought of writing a tutorial until I got your post here. It will have to be a Gimp tutorial, tho, I do not own photoshop and if I did, I'd have to spend a couple months learning to use it. But, in the meantime, you can download the xcf or psd file, and check out how I layered the button. That may help you a bit. It has a base layer which includes a slight drop shadow, and a glass layer on top of the base layer so you can insert text in between the two. When I create the buttons, they have a few more layers to start with, but I eventually merge them to the fewest layers that I can for the final button. If you don't know anything about layers or semi transparent gradients, I would suggest doing a search for layer/gradient tutorials for the drawing software that you are going to be using. The Gimp is free, Photoshop costs. I will post a link to the tutorial when I am finished with it. Be patient, please. This will be the first tutorial that I have tried to make.
