Mine is simple, recent, and not all that bad. I don't do a lot (ie. any) freelance, so here is how it went...
- friend of former coworker: I need a small site. I heard you're good.
- Okay. how's this.
- perfect. Amazing. How much do you want.
- I ask around, and request a VERY conservative 500 for my work. (Lowest suggested.)
- Uh, we were thinking 250.
- Frick. I should have discussed rates BEFORE I gave the coded work. Don't cheat me. Gimme 375.
- Okay.
My own fault to a degree, but also the fact that they were cheap.
